Baby Kaiya in 3D

We got our baby girl to somewhat cooperate for a 3d photo shoot. We only had to do it 4 TIMES over a 3 week period of time!! This little stinker likes to snuggle (which I really hope lasts when she's here). She always has her little hands over her face and is sucking on her fingers. We got 3 pretty good pictures out of those 4 photo shoots. I still think these pictures are slightly creepy, but they're cute. It will be interesting to see how much she looks like them when she's here!

This was at 26 weeks
29 weeks

29 weeks- Nate says she her eye looks creepy in this picture, but it was the best shot we could get. I love her chubby cheeks. She has had them since 26 weeks.

7 Month Belly

I can't believe I'm 7 months already! This holiday season is going to make this little one seem to come faster due to our crazy schedule over the next month. I'm excited though. She's getting bigger and bigger everyday. Nate tells me everyday that I look bigger than the day before. Her movements are getting bigger. Sometimes we just sit and watch my belly move around... Sometimes I think she's doing to wave. She's crazy in there. We're getting more and more excited for her arrival and are loving every minute of the preparation for her!!

First this is Nate being so happy to be studying...

Nate wanted me to do the "fingers" to tell how far along I was, and put on the same shirt so he can compare to see the progression.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I couldn't have been more excited to decorate for Christmas this year. Nate told me 2 weeks before Thanksgiving that I had to wait until at least the day before Thanksgiving to put up Christmas stuff. Due to the unplanned funeral for my Nana, we didn't get our tree until yesterday. We finally decorated it today. I love Christmas and the feeling it brings to our home. This is the first Christmas tree we have had since being married. My mom bought us all of our tree decorations and I was so excited to see how everything would turn out. While I was at it I decided to put up some pictures of our apartment. They're not very good pictures and you can't really tell how it looks in real life, but it gives you a good idea...

Front Room- The furniture has been moved a little due to the Christmas tree location...

6 Month Belly

Here is my 6 month belly update. People are starting to tell me I look pregnant... :)

How I look... :)

How Nate wishes I looked... :(

Halloween Fun

At work we all dressed up on Thursday to celebrate Halloween since we don't work on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. My good friend Angie let me borrow some of her stuff to make me Elphaba from Wicked. I would have made more of my body green but I was afraid it would get everywhere!

This picture pretty much sums up how these two felt about my costume. Little man just stared at me with that look on his face for like 5 minutes and Sienna didn't know how to feel. She was a little scared of me. It was pretty funny.

Shower Fun!

I had my first baby shower tonight. It was so much fun. It was so good to see people I don't get to see very often and celebrate our little one. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us! Love you all!

Hooray for my new diaper bag! I was SO excited!!!

Catching up... This last year in a quick photo review...

So I finally uploaded all of our pictures from our camera to my computer so it will be a lot easier to update the blog now! And with this little peanut coming I'll have a lot more of a reason to take pictures and update our blog. So here are a few pictures from this last year...

Nate got a "skookie" from my parents last year for Christmas and I learned how easy it is to make pizza in it. This is me being proud of my pizza making skills at our old (nasty) apartment in Midvale.

Laura took us to see Avatar for Nate's birthday. We got cool glasses to wear.
Sienna was so excited to come see Nate cheer and meet Cosmo, only she was a little scared when she actually got close to him...

Nate finished up his last football season cheering for BYU. Now he just gets to stand on the side lines as the coach and yell at people. :)

I finally got rid of the Jetta. This was my first Mazda 3. Yes, the one I totaled. It's okay though because my new one looks exactly the same!

Thriller (last year). I know I look pregnant in this picture, but I swear it was last year. Nate knows this is my favorite thing to do every year for my birthday so we try to go.

Nate and I at my graduation. I think he was as happy as I was on this day!

My diploma! Hooray! Cool cheesy smile!

My girls!!! I wouldn't have survived nursing school without these 4 girls!

We celebrated my graduation by going to California and Disneyland. First stop was Long Beach to meet up with some of Nate's college friends.

We went trick or treating in California Adventures with Kati and Mat and the kids. It was so much fun!

We had a little too much fun... But how could you not when you're in Disneyland, on your birthday, and you find out that you passed the NCLEX. Best. Day. Ever.

After Disneyland, we took the long trip (thanks to cousin Aaron) up to the Kent's house to go to six flags. It was an awesome way to end our California adventure.

December 19, 2009 our little man was born. (Well not OUR little man, but my sister Staci's and bro in law Steve's) Seth Ethan Sargent. We just love this chub. He is so much fun. Sienna (his older sister) decided that she is going to give us baby boy in exchange for our baby girl. She wants a little sister so bad. She calls our little one "Kaiya Kaiya" or "Kaiya Maya" She calls me all the time to ask "Is yous baby ready yet??" I have to keep reminding her that she will come to her birthday party in February.

I was able to go to cheer nationals this year with Nate. It was so much fun. I had never been to Florida before. Our hotel was right on the beach. I loved every second of it and wish I could go back this next year with them, but we decided that wouldn't be a good idea with a newborn... :(

We decided even before we went to Nationals in April that we were ready to start our little family. My hubby is all about documenting so this is a picture proving we planned it. ha ha

Because of my obsession with Twilight I wouldn't have it any other way than to go to opening night. Luckily, we got hook ups a few hours before the midnight showing so we didn't have to stay up too late. The boys said they would only go if we bought them "Team Alice" shirts, since that's the only reason the watch the movies anyway. So we agreed. Everyone at the theater loved them and thought they were so cool in their shirts. The best part is that none of us girls wore team shirts. I did tell my family that night about us being pregnant. We went to Texas Roadhouse and I wore a shirt that said "little nudger" on the belly. It took them a few minutes to get it, but they finally did.

Nate surprised me with Stadium of Fire featuring Carrie Underwood tickets for our 2 year anniversary. It was on our actual anniversary. We both LOVE her. I cried when he gave them to me because I was so excited. I blame it on the pregnancy hormones. I took him to sushi because it is his favorite and we enjoyed a night of good music and fireworks!

20 Week Ultrasound

Yesterday we had our 20 week ultrasound. It went really well! Everything looked great and she is measuring perfectly. We saw everything from her heart to her diaphragm. Everything was perfect. We got a couple really cute profile pictures. This one is my favorite because it looks like she is smiling and about to suck on her fingers.

Baby Bump Update

So Nate and I have been slackers on taking pictures of my belly, but to be honest, we have been waiting for a belly to appear. We decided that since I'm now 5 months we better start even though there is not much to look at. Sorry for all of you who wanted to see a little baby belly... I promise I am pregnant. She is just staying nice and hidden I guess. A few facts I should document so I don't forget..I started feeling her pretty early. On September 9th I officially was able to distinguish her movements. I had felt her before that but I convinced myself there was no way it was her. Nate felt her just about a week or two after that. She moves like crazy. She loves music and will always start having a dance party whenever music is being played loud. I'm currently in Harmony Senior with Clayton Productions and whenever Kim plays the piano really loud she goes nuts. She also really likes Nate's voice. She will move a lot when he talks to her but then when he pushes on my belly to feel it, she stops. He gets so mad. It's so amazing to me how much I love her already. It makes me smile every time I feel her little movements. It's becoming a reality. Staci and Kath decided to have my first baby shower on October 28th, which happens to be my birthday. I can't think of a better way to celebrate! It's been so weird registering for baby stuff. It's a lot harder than I thought. I have NO idea what I'm going to need. Thank goodness for people around me who have been there and can tell me what I should get and what I shouldn't waste my money on. Well there you have it. We have our 20 week ultrasound tomorrow so I will get some pictures of her then. I'm really anxious to see how big she is. Our last ultrasound was at 14 weeks to find out the gender so it will be amazing to see how much she has grown. I will post some of her cute photo shoot tomorrow!

Please please forgive my sick face. I just got out of the shower and Nate insisted that he get a full body shot... Gross.

I guess the secret is out... :)

So after a year of not blogging... my bad... I decided it's time to update. We just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. So much has changed in this last year. If someone would have told me a year ago that things would be the way they are today I would have said No way and laughed in their face. A few updates of important things from the last year... (Pictures to come)

1. I graduated from nursing school October 2009. Best day ever. So glad it's over. After applying everywhere and getting rejected time after time, Dr Judd took mercy on me and hired me! I've been with him since November and can't complain. I love my job and my co-workers. How can you complain about a Monday- Thursday 8-5 job. My bosses are so good to us.

2. Nate finished his last year of cheering at BYU. We went to Florida for Nationals. So much fun. This next year he will be the assistant coach for the cheer squad. He's excited to still be involved with the program, minus the stress on his body. I like it because I still get tickets to games and it pays for his school.

3. We moved to Provo. Something I never thought would happen. Nate was very anti for the longest time. But we LOVE our new place. I'll get some pictures up as soon as we finish decorating... (MOM hint hint)

4. I wrecked my new car. (don't worry. I got a new one that's exactly the same as the one I wrecked.) After 8 months I got in a stupid accident and totaled my little baby. It was a sad day, but in the end was a total blessing believe it or not. So many weird things (good things) happened because of it. You'll have to ask us the details if you haven't already heard.

5. And the most exciting news of all... We're expecting our first child in February 2011. We couldn't be more excited! We were worried with all my family issues of getting pregnant that it would be difficult, but apparently this baby really wanted to be here because after one month of trying, it was a success. The perks of working for an OB include ultrasounds whenever I want one. We heard the heartbeat for the first time a few weeks ago. It was so surreal. I mean I listen to baby heartbeats all day long just not ones coming from my own belly. We're excited to find out what it is, and should be able to in just a few short weeks.

Next post will include pictures and I promise to not wait an entire year to post again. So many fun and exciting things have happened this last year so I guess I better get documenting. More to come soon... :)
