One Year!

I'm wayyyyyy behind on blogging. Sorry everyone. But I don't have the internet at our new apartment because we're too cheap to pay for it, so I have to do things like this at my in laws... So here it is. Our One Year Anniversary! I can't believe it's been a year! Time has flown by. I'm done with nursing school in 10 weeks and everything is just going so fast! We had a hard time deciding what to do to celebrate because my schooling has kind of broken the bank account to put things lightly. We were ready to give up and say fine I guess dinner and a movie it is, when my best friend Dantzel's mom Laurie offered their house in Zions for the weekend. It was amazing. We went hiking, drove into St. George for dinner and fireworks and just relxed and enjoyed a nice break from our stressful lives! Thanks so much Marsh family for all you do for us!!! We love you guys... And to my amazing hubby...
Wow. This year has been insane! Thank you so much for putting up with me! Nursing school is almost over and the craziness will end soon. Thanks for working so hard. 3 jobs and so many hours a week. It will be weird to actually see you for more than 3 hours a day. Thank you for always making the gospel our number one priority. You are always there to catch me when I fall. Everything we've been through--- it has been so much easier with you there by my side. Thanks for sticking around all that time before we got married when I was being so stupid! I don't know what I would do with out you in my life. Nobody else could have married me. I swear. You truly are my soul mate... I look forward to so many more amazing anniversaries with you!!! I love you babe! Happy one year Anniversary!!!!

On our actual anniversary we went into St George to go to our favorite restaurant to eat. Texas Roadhouse! Our waiter thought we were crazy for how much food we got, but we were so hungry from hiking all day!

Lava Hot Springs!

So the weekend of Valentines Day also happened to be Nate's 24th birthday and president's day, so we decided to take advantage of the situation and head up to Idaho for a relaxing weekend at Lava. It was quite an adventure as some of you have heard our hilarious stories that happened while we were there!
At the hot pools one day we were there...

At our second hotel.. HAHA I told Nate he didn't have another option. We WERE switching hotels...
Beds before. The only room they had left has 2 twin beds haha!!
Beds after. You know I was the likely candidate to fall through the middle...Our hotel has hot pots of their own!
I broke the window curtains at both hotels. It was hilarious.Nate eating his birthday steak at Texas Roadhouse

so happy to be in Lava!
So I'm too lazy to turn this picture so it's the right way, but as you can see... Our bathroom was separated by a shower curtain! It was so gross in there that we didn't dare take a shower.
Nate let me have first dibs on which bed I wanted! HAHA there were 3 beds in this room! And none of the sheets or comforters matched. They were so GROSS!
Our awesome furniture... Patio as so you can see. Not matching...

It turned out great and we will for sure never forget this year's Valentines Day! Nate bought me a really cute pair of pajama pants from Victoria's Secret and I got him a new CD, game and mini guitar hero for his birthday. We went to Texas Roadhouse in Pocatello for his actual birthday and it was amazing. Thanks for an awesome weekend babe! Love you!

A Night In The ER

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! If you have a weak stomach do not scroll down... These pictures are very gruesome!!

So Nate works at a gymnastics gym and we decided it would be really fun to rent it out for a Saturday night and invite all our friends to come play. We got pizza for everyone and were really excited to just play around and have a good time with friends. (well nate would have fun and I would study... Story of my life) So people started showing up surprisingly on time. They all sighed waivers and we were headed to play. Well... 5 minutes after we started playing, a friend (who is a very skilled diver) decided to do a double back off the vault. Unfortunately the difference between diving and flipping off a vault is that under a diving board there is just water and the board extends out so there is no way to hit anything on your way down except the water... The vault is placed on wood and there is about two or three inches that exist between the end of the vault and the start of the pit. In diving you are trained to dive straight up and straight down because if you travel at all you lose points on your dive. So he was just doing what he was trained.... SOOOO he ended up hitting the top of his head with great force right on the corner of the wood... He wasn't really sure what had just happened so he started rubbing his head in a "ouch that kind of hurt" way only to look at his hands and see blood on them. He leaps out of the pit and bends over, blood pouring out of his head. The nursing instincts kicked in. My cute husband was already running toward the bathroom before I could tell any one to go get something to cover it with and was back in less than a minute. We got the bleeding to stop and threw him in our car and headed to Timp Hospital. Below are pictures of him in the ER and the damage that was done... Again BEWARE!!!
First Picture... After they had cleaned him up a lot.. He actually looks A LOT better than he did.
Second picture... Top view of his head (33 CM across)
Third picture... So yes it was 13 inches across and it went all the way through to his skull... There was only a thick layer of skin holding his scalp in place. The doctor said it was the worst head injury he has ever seen.
Fourth picture... The next day... 50 stitches and 11 staples later. You can kind of see the staples. POOR KID!!!

BYU Vs UNLV

This week BYU played UNLV in boys basketball. They started out really well leading going into half time, but in the second half choked and ended up losing... (stupid 3 pointers that they think they can make...) Anyway... Susan has become my basketball buddy since Nate is always cheering so we took some pictures this week!

Sunday night chat with Uncle Nate at Grammy's...

Luke was being so cute this past Sunday night! Nate and I just adore this baby. He has changed so much in the last month. He is such a happy baby! We love playing with him. He loves to chat so Nate was having a nice Sunday night chat with him and I couldn't resist pulling out the camera! It's kind of a long clip but I couldn't stop. He was being so cute!

UPDATE OVERLOAD!!!

So I'm really bad at updating my blog and when I do it's like 10 new posts all in one. But at least I do it... So there are 7 new posts below, so enjoy seeing what's been going on in our lives the last month!

BYU Basketball

So as you have probably caught on to by now, I am a big cougar fan. I love going to the football and basketball games. This game, however, was a sad one because the cougars lost their first home game after a really long winning streak. It was still a fun game though even though it got really intense!I only take pictures of Nate at the games...

Last day of finals!

My nursing school friends and I decided that we needed to celebrate finals being over. It was a blizzard when we walked out of our last final but we were determined to celebrate so we went to Chilies and had a good time relaxing and not worrying about having to go home and do homework or study for another test!

Christmas Ugly Sweater Contest WINNERS!

So Nate and I totally won the ugly sweater contest at his cheer party this year. There were a couple other winners but ours were pretty hot. The best part is that his sweater is his dad's and he still wears it... It had leather diamonds sewn in across the middle of it. We were laughing pretty hard. It was a fun night and it was fun to hang out with his byu cheer friends.

Farewell Beezer!

Zach left on his mission at the beginning of December. He is doing awesome! He is going to Sweden and the language is coming along great! He loves the MTC and we are so proud of him! Here are some pictures of him the day he went into the MTC.

Vegas Bowl

I didn't get to go to the Vegas Bowl this year, due to finals and a few other lame details, but my hubby went to cheer them on. He's as good at taking pictures as I am (not very good) but here a a few that he did take. He had fun, but got really sick on the way down and came home with strep... (that I somehow did not get!)

New Years Eve!

We hung out with some good friends on New Years Eve. We went to dinner at Trio and then went back to our friend's Tiffany and Ryan's house to hang out. The boys played ping pong and the girls made dessert (Cake waffles-- AMAZING!) Then the boys decided to play video games until 5 minutes after midnight so we didn't even see the ball drop! Oh well we had fun anyway!

Snowed out!

Courtney and Paul came home for Christmas so we were able to play with them one night. Nate and I went up to Bountiful. We went out for Chinese food and then went back to their house to watch the Utah bowl game.. (Even though I really didn't want to... I don't care if BYU lost this year I still say GO COUGS!) Anyway... It started snowing so bad during dinner that we couldn't get up the hill to the Woolston's house and we had to park the car and walk up the hill!! It was more of a hike than a little walk especially in big boots! Anyway it was fun! When we went to leave after walking back down the snowy hill to our car, we realized that the snow plow trapped us in! We didn't think we were getting out but we did and got home safely!

It was cold...
After we dried off!
